30 Weeks

Maternity Clothes: You betcha. Except I avoid putting on pants at all costs. MuuMuus and maxi dresses having been my saving grace

Sleep: My least favorite part of the day is when we have to go to sleep at night. Yes, I'm exhausted and ready for bed, but I just know that a good night sleep is not in my cards from here on out. It takes FOREVER to get comfortable and as soon as that happens, I usually have to go use the bathroom. Bahhh.

Best moments: When I'm home alone and lonely, and baby girl starts kicking as if to say, "Hey I'm here too!" So I'm not so lonely.

Missing anything? Energy and wearing my cute summer skirts :(

Movement? She's especially active late at night and early in the morning.

Food Cravings: Not really. I'm actually having a hard time trying to remind myself to eat. I have no idea where my appetite went, but it sure isn't here.

Queasy or Sick?  Only when I forget to eat

Gender: The more I think about it, the happier I am that this is a girl. I swear I wouldn't know what to do with a boy, but I helped raise 3 little sisters, so I feel a bit more confident in my abilities.

Symptoms: Not pregnancy related... but my teeth hurt! I got braces about a month ago and holy cow, pregnancy+braces was not my brightest idea. Nooo siree. Just a whole lotta pain and discomfort.
I flew home for a week and couldn't bring clothes with me because it's a lot cheaper not to bring luggage, so I had to get creative with my sister's clothing.

  1. thank goodness you're queen of muumuus, because those must be perfect for wearing while pregnant AND then you can just slip right into bed with them on! haha ;)

  2. I gotta say, getting braces while pregnant takes a lot of guts! Hopefully you'd be able to take care with your pregnancy as well as maintain your braces, so you can have them removed in the shortest timeframe possible. It's a good thing that by the time the pregnancy thing kicks in at full throttle, you'd probably be settled into your braces by then. Congratulations on your upcoming baby, and on your great teeth once your braces are removed!

  3. Braces and pregnancy – not a very good combination, if you ask me. When are you due? You’re tough to dwell into this venture. I could only imagine how difficult it is to resist food you can’t eat while the cravings are in full swing. But it seems you’re faring well. Good luck!
