March was kinda a big, kinda a fun, kinda a great month for us!
We spent the last few days of February in Salt Lake with Grandma Hillam, Daniel, Emily, Hannah and my parents. We helped grandma Hillam get her garage set up (actually Eric and his parents did that while me and Hallie went and played with my family!) We also went to a cool MoTab concert that Dan and Em played in, we loooove that they are willing to get us tickets for those! Hallie had her first mom anxiety break down when I left her with Hannah. She got over it, but it was so sad! Also, literally an hour before we left for SLC, Eric's dad took my braces off for me! Wahoo!
| For Grandma Hillams birthday we went to Boba World.. such a hokey name for a Chinese place, but it was actually really good! |
We also met up with a few of my old roommates and their husbands/kids/fiance for a Sushi Night!

We talked and laughed and reminisced and made/ate some yummy sushi! Not pictured are Kati and Kimithy... who is pregnant wahoo!
Mid-way through March, Hallie and I flew to Vegas for Natalie's homecoming. We were there for almost a week and we had a great time! We got to catch up with good friends and family, eat yummy food and enjoy the beautiful sunshine. I was hoping that this trip would coincide with March Madness, but unfortunately, it started the day I got back. So the rest of March consisted of lots of March madness, and lots of packing.
On March 27th at around 7:30 pm, we pulled out of our little cramped parking lot and drove away from our first little apartment! It was bittersweet. But mostly sweet. I tend to be pretty nostalgic about these type of things (i.e. leaving the place we brought our first baby girl home to, leaving a town that I'd absolutely loved for the past 6 years etc) But it was so great to be able to wipe my hands clean of all things Delta Phi! We are SO grateful for the experiences and opportunities that came along with Delta Phi and we really did love our time there, but it was time to go. Delta Phi had just signed on with a property management company that liked to do things a lot different from the way we were used to, white gloves and check-outs were around the corner, and Hallie desperately needed more space. So the timing was great! Delta Phi was "our baby" for so long, so it's still hard for me not to obsess over it and think about it all the time, wondering if everything is going ok and if the tenants are all happy etc. But its so nice to not have to stress about it all the time!
So now we are living in Eric's parents "Barn". Although...it's not really a barn. I'm not sure why we call it that :) It's a little apartment/loft above their garage and so far so good!
